Welcome to Literary Corner Café

Hello,

Welcome to Literary Corner Café (LCC). Literary Corner Café was born out of my lifelong love for books, literature, and the writing process, and my desire to discuss those topics with others.

Our site is growing daily, but right now we have a forum where you can discuss your favorite books and authors, the writing process, poetry, plays, and interact with other members.

Those who enjoy delving more deeply into a work of literature will no doubt enjoy our Forum Book Club in which we discuss a new book each month, a book selected by our very own members.

If you like to write short stories or poetry, you might want to join one of our critique groups and receive valuable feedback from other writers just like you.

Not into novels or short stories, but love poetry and plays? No problem. Literary Corner Café has forums for both. We also encourage discussions on both religious and philosophical texts, but not politics. We've found that discussing politics is simply too emotional a subject and while we encourage debate, we do insist that our members respect one another at all times.

Members with at least 100 forum posts will be able to set up their own blog. In fact, we encourage our members to blog and share their thoughts and ideas with others. Every month our editors will choose a "Best Blog of the Month" and that blogger will win a cash prize or an Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift certificate.

Right now, Literary Corner Café has a membership drive going on. The first 100 members, with 100 posts each, will be considered our "Charter Members." One lucky Charter Member will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
